What We Don’t Accept
There are some things we cannot accept, because:
- They may be difficult or impossible to sell (such as used wall-to-wall carpet).
- They are too dangerous to handle (such as hazardous materials).
- They need a warranty we can’t offer to our shoppers (such as infant car seats).
We are unable to accept the following items:
- Animals or plants (of any kind)
- Carpet remnants (wall-to-wall carpet)
- Christmas trees
- Cribs
- Drugs (over-the-counter or prescription)
- Electric wheelchairs or scooters
- Encyclopedias
- Food or beverages
- Full sized pianos and electric organs (electronic keyboards accepted)
- Garage doors
- Gas cans
- Glass (single pane doors, used shower doors, unframed mirrors)
- Guns and weapons (including toy guns and knives)
- Hazardous materials (including cleaning supplies)
- Helmets (of any kind)
- Hospital beds
- Hot water heaters
- Infant and child car seats (of any kind)
- Magazines
- Non-flat screen TVs and monitors (CRT)
- Outboard motors (over 20hp)
- Paint and solvents
- Printers, fax and copy machines (any size)
- Sofas – (New in 2025)
- Toilets
- Vehicles without title
- VHS tapes and cassettes
- Waterbeds
- Water dispensers (standup type with spout)
- Wood burning stoves
Items Subject to a Disposal Fee
We charge a modest fee for items that are costly to dispose of if they don’t sell. These fees are paid to the disposal company to cover the costs we incur.
